Florence is beautiful, but oh the crowds. At some stage you’ll likely desire slower more peaceful surroundings. On leaving Florence, we’ll soon be travelling along scenic back roads known only to those who have travelled the Tuscan countryside extensively (like us for eighteen years). The route is a constant alternation between shaded wooded areas that suddenly explode into gorgeous views over manicured vineyards, olive orchards and Cypress trees. You’ll certainly want to take a photo or two, so we’ll be making make a number of stops along the way. We’re sure you’ll get plenty material for enlargements and screen savers.

The Tuscan Countryside & Lunch
We’ll be taking you through the Chianti countryside, and thanks to our knowledge of the area your eyes will be gifted with the quintessential Tuscan landscape. Rolling hills, ancient stone villages & farmhouses, and endless rows of vineyards where agriculture and aesthetics are combined in perfect synergy. The drive will be leisurely giving you all the time necessary to take it all in. Of course we know where the best photo opportunites are, so well make a number of stops along the way.
Your private Tuscany wine tour from Florence will include a light lunch at our favorite restaurant or at Castellinuzza winery. Your meal will include a plate of appetizers, a pasta dish, a glass of house wine and coffee.
The leisurely pace of our Tuscany wine tours often has us running late. However, if there’s time we may close our day with a short visit to the tiny town of Greve in Chianti. You can stroll the arched sidewalks and browse the shops which specialize in souvenirs, or maybe treat yourself to a huge and even better Gelato then you can find in Florence.
